Live at the Bieroc!
Join us for an elegant evening of classical music, featuring as a highlight the Bach concerto for two violins performed by
Leanne Miller and Ethan Wilcox.
Composed in 1717, The “Bach Double” is considered by many to be the greatest concerto for two violins ever created. Each of the three movements are superbly crafted in D minor using counterpoint, while possessing remarkable beauty and vitality.
Elizabeth Knedlik brings two solo violin numbers to the evening, “Air Varié” by Charles Dancla, and the delightful “Italian Polka” by Rachmaninoff.
Duets performed by Leanne and Elizabeth will be the Trio Sonata by F.E Fisher, as well as the Allegro movement of Vivaldi’s Concerto in A minor, Opus 3, No. 8.
Leanne has chosen as her solo for the evening the famous “Adoration” by Felix Borowski, first published in 1898. It is a beautiful work for violin with piano accompaniment.
“Un Sospiro” (“a sigh”) by Franz Liszt, a rather ethereal piano solo, will be performed by Cheryl Christner.
The evening will also include the well-loved “Canon in D” by Pachelbel, performed by the four musicians.
